The Creative Collective Film Festival is how we screen Documentary Films from members of our Artist Collective. These short documentary films are shot by our young people. These films tell the stories of the Underrepresented community of people in media from LGBTQ+ BIPOC, and persons with Special Needs. We represent a community of Directors, Cinematographers, and Content Creators. Thank you to our host 1800 Lucky Wynwood Miami, and Soho House NY for giving us the platform to amplify our voices

This Documentary short film focuses on Latin Pioneer Filmmakers Guillermo del Toro, Alejandro González Iñárritu, and Alfonso Cuarón. Also known as the three amigos of Hollywood. This film highlights incredible achievements such as being the first Hispanic directors to win awards in the category of best director, best editing, best screenplay, and best film. This Documentary tells their stories and how they inspired other filmmakers around the world

“FOR THIS LOVE IS QUEER”

A Documentary short film. This story of queer representation in cinema highlights all of the dynamic portrayals of LGBTQ+ persons shown over the years. This film also includes a thought provoking interview with Media Legend Emil Wilbekin. The interview component to this project takes an in depth approach to engaging industry professionals who share their own personal stories on how working in media has shaped their careers.

“WATER FOR JALOUSIE”

This is the story of Marthylda Francois a young architect from Port AuPrince Haiti. This short documentary film tells the story of her development as an Architect from Haiti to later receiving her Masters Degree at the Florida International University School of Architecture. Marthylda won the overall master thesis super jury project for her presentation “SOUS DLO 2.O” By using natural resources this Water Distribution Community Center & Remote Fountain brings clean water to Jalousie. This architectural masterpiece is designed to serve the underserved population of Haitian citizens and bring a viable resource to a community rich in culture.
